Hello Antonis! I agree with you that how you behave in critical moments is very important and that "social" skills, or course, are very important but I wanted to express that if the company needs to do without you for any reason they will do it, even if you are very good at what you do. I could see it in the 2008 crisis in the company where I worked, where they fired those who were left without projects, no matter how good they were.
A company is there to make money. They can behave better or worse with you but in the end, what matters is the money at the present moment and the money you can bring them in the future.
